Drone town

We're all having to adapt and we've evolved our most popular course: our NEA 3 day residential. The latest Ofqual guidelines are proposing a 'relaxing of the fieldwork requirement in A-level Geography'. In response, our new 'NEA in a day' course is supported by 2 comprehensive virtual sessions, to support before and after your trip.

Before you arrive we'll provide ideas to help your students plan their NEA via a comprehensive pre-trip virtual introduction to Southwold, its beach, streets and key geographical issues. We'll increase their awareness of data collection methods they can use, and provide ideas for further reading and local resources they can access to gain a greater understanding of their issue.

You're welcome to contact us in advance of the trip as much as you need to check feasibility and practicalies so you'll arrive planned, prepared and ready to go. We'll be based in our central theatre right in the heart of the town where space is plentiful and we have exclusive use of toilets and classrooms.

Students will have support from our tutors on the day, demonstrations of techniques can be provided and access to all of our fieldwork equipment, including drones*.

Stay as long as you need to collect your data. On return to school a second virtual session will provide ideas on data presentation and moving forward with their NEA.

*Use of drones has to comply with CAA guidelines at all times

*Minimum 8 students
